Meet the Owner/Operator
Hi, My name is Joe, owner and operator of Long Island Knife Sharpening Service. I'm a Long Island local. I'm a family man, happily married, father to a multitude of farm animals, and have always wanted to find a passion where I could spend time getting back to my roots and working with my hands. Day to day New York life doesn't suit my fancy. So, I built a chicken coop, a rabbit hut, a quail coop, and last but not least, a blade smithing workshop. In my spare time, I forge, weld, sharpen, and refine. I dabble in making knives of my own, and pride myself on my clean skills as a sharpener and metal worker. Working with my hands and being in the moment is my escape, and I'm ready to grow my mere hobbies into a more serious craft and service. I hope to work with you soon.

Long Island Knife Sharpening Service is a locally owned sharpening service that aims to bring excellent handiwork and a sense of community back to an age old, but much needed trade. Here at Long Island Knife Sharpening Service, we pride ourselves on top knotch work, and friendly assistance, as we like to get to know our clients through our local pickup and drop off services. We specialize in both sharpening by belt grinder, as well as by hand and wet stone, for some of your more finer or sentimental knives and blades.
